Benchmarking Study For An E-Commerce Company

Requirement

A leading global e-commerce company wanted to target its major e-commerce competitors in India. It wanted to mainly identify the kind of EMI (equated monthly installments) offerings, mainly related to debit card EMI or No Cost EMI. It also wanted to capture the number of banks and plans that they offered. In addition to that, the company also wanted to capture offers provided by the competitors for Indian customers.

Solution

We delivered weekly reports tracking offers and benchmarking the EMI availability. We provided detailed analysis in terms of the banks involved in EMI offerings, and the differences in interest rates plans. Every weekly report included suggestions to introduce or enhance an offering to improve their reach and sales.

Methodology

We benchmarked nearly 200 products every week to track EMI offerings across 2 competitor websites. We provided a detailed analysis on the availability of various types of EMIs, plans, and offers on the plans. We also provided weekly comparisons of the analysis. As addons, we also benchmarked availability of extended warranties, exchange offers, and discounts on MRP, with suggestions and weekly comparisons.
