Hair preparations was the second largest segment, at around 21% of the total market. The hair preparations are hair grooming, cleansing and modifying products. They include sprays, bleaches, dyes, conditioners, rinses, shampoos, nutrient lotions, etc. which are applied topically in the hair.

The toiletries industry includes companies involved in preparing, blending, compounding, and packaging toiletries.
