The client, owner of a technology park (business hub) in the city of Hyderabad, India, was planning to build a clubhouse inside the tech park to provide facilities for various activities. For this purpose, the client wished to conduct a survey to understand the following – Current facilities provided in the tech park Problems faced by employees/consumers Activities and facilities that the client can provide in the tech park The willingness of the employees/consumers Fee charged for facilities The average spend on facilities by employees/consumers Unmet needs of the employees/consumers Benchmarking against other facilities
The survey outcomes were submitted to the client in the form of a PowerPoint presentation with information on the following – Tech park employee demographics Current in-house facilities, by company Customer opinions on potential clubhouse offerings Customer willingness to visit clubhouse over weekends Customer preferences on restaurants and food outlets Price benchmarking for various facilities Recommendations to the client
A questionnaire was designed by TBRC on the basis of specifications agreed with the client. In-depth interviews with key executives of companies in the tech park Focus group discussions with employees working in the tech park
The client was satisfied with the findings of the survey. The client was able to gain insights on the needs and interests of the target audience to devise its clubhouse construction strategy.
